History of Genderclue - How the Algorithm was BornWhen Horatiu, an engineer by trade and a scientist at heart, learned that he and his wife were going to have a child, they were both ecstatic. At the moment the good news was revealed to family, friends and relatives, various predictions for the little one were made. In particular, the most common prediction was that of the gender of the newborn baby. These were not based on any accuracy, but were instead only playful predictions. A search began when Horatiu and his wife began exploring sites on the Internet that offered predictions related to baby gender forecasts. Unfortunately, the couple spent hundreds of dollars to no avail, receiving only pages with flimsy predictions, which were incorrect. One site in particular, offered a 27 page long prediction, yet most of it was purely astrological and didn’t provide any valuable information. Other sites offered various homemade tests including blood, pH, DNA and urine tests to help determine a prediction. After two weeks of relentless research, Horatiu uncovered something quite remarkable. What he learned was that over 40 years ago in his homeland of Romania lived a doctor who had done some interesting research in the field of gender prediction, all with outstanding results. Unfortunately, the doctor literally disappeared and along with his disappearance went his notes, which were never found. But one of the doctor’s medical assistants appeared unexpectedly in Horatiu’s life. It turned out the assistant was an aunt of Horatiu’s wife. She shared with Horatiu a few insights about how the doctor helped her along with hundreds of other women uncover the gender of their future children. With the help of the computer, Horatiu was able to turn the information he gathered into an algorithm. When it was time to predict the gender of Horatiu’s unborn child, the newly created algorithm predicted a baby girl and the sonogram taken at the end of July 2006 confirmed it. To further test the findings, the algorithm, now known as Genderclue Algorithm was tried on about 150 couples from the US and Europe. Genderclue’s algorithm calculations precisely predicted the gender of the child in each case. In January 2008 Horatiu and his wife were expecting another baby…and without a sonogram reading they already knew their baby would be a girl. As expected, in January 2008 Horatiu and his wife brought a beautiful new baby girl into the world. |
